  •   Special Needs Website Links

The Family Education website has excellent information for parents of school age children.  There are sections relating to Special Needs under each age category.

The Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario has an excellent website dealing with definitions, assessments and strategies to use at home, school, work and in relationships.

The Autism Awareness Centre website offers many interesting links to resources and services dealing directly with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The Special Needs Opportunity Windows or SNOW Project is a provider of online resources and professional development opportunities for educators and parents of students with special needs.

The Ontario Ministry of Education gives detailed information about the Identification, Review and Placement Committee (IPRC) process, Individual Education Plans, and Transition Plans, in addition to many more.  There are also Policy Directions and Resource Documents listed for background information.

This Ontario Government's Children With Special Needs web page is intended to assist parents and caregivers seeking information about services funded and/or provided by the Ontario government for children with physical, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, medical problems or those who need specialized services to participate in daily living activities.

The following websites are children's online activities - just for fun, but educational, too!
