In March of 1999, Miss Kathy Sanders, a former student of St. Joseph's School, was involved in a tragic vehicle accident. In her graduating year at St. Joseph's School, she won both the Highest Overall Average and the Female Athlete of the Year Awards. She was a kind, dedicated and intelligent student whose promising future was sadly shortened. It is in her memory, and her passion for the game of hockey that we have dedicated this championship trophy.
